Noize Record Club: Céu

Creation and script for the vinyl release of Céu's "Novela".
Referring to the Brazilian cultural tradition of soap operas, we will explore the stories told by Céu on the album “Novela” by reproducing classic symbols of this audiovisual format.
Browsing through love and its different phases, such as in “Cremosa”, “Buá Buá” and “Corpo e Colo”, as well as the connection of female friendship in “Gerando Na Alta”, and the power to choose who is part of your story in “Into My Novela”, we will bring dramatized interpretations of these verses.
We will explore the Camp aesthetic characteristic of soap operas and very well represented in Pedro Almodóvar's films. This passion for exaggeration is transferred to the lighting, art direction and acting. In hyperbole, we transform each small action into a possibility to express the emotional universe of the album, as well as satirize - in the form of homage - the classic scenes of these dramatic narratives.
